35 lorries left Barnstaple on route to The Milky Way Adventure Park on Saturday Sep 4th. This was the 11th Children's Convoy,we were taking children from Highfield House Child Development Centre for a day out. It was a day for these special children that they will remember for a long time. A big thank you to all who contributed towards such a super day out. Those who drove the lorries, all who gave the lorries, everyone who kindly sponsored the day and anyone who contributed in any way to what was a credit to South West Truckers and a wonderful day for the children.

First of all may i say a big thankyou to all the people who attended truckfest this year, it was one of the best weekends i have had for a long time.
Now for an apology i am sorry i couldnt make it to the stithians truck show, i would of loved to of been there to help out but the purse was tightly shut well i guess you can guess the rest.. From the bit i saw on the local news it looked like you had a successful first show and i oped you raised plent of money.
Unfortunately i couldnt make the central meeting as i was away in west wales, and judging by what area 3 were telling me at the meeting on saturday night next years money raising plan will be for central.
This i thought was a reasonable idea as te members te me if we dont put any money into central there will be no S.W.T.
But my question is and i will bring it up at the next central, (it may already of been pointed out) is joe public going to put their hand in their pocket for our club. Unless your in the driving industry chances are you never heard of our club.
So my sugston is w pick a well known charity and raise as much money as possible and split the proceeds 50/50. Drop u lnlet me know your thoughts bye for now. (P.S) it was nice to meet the people from help the herroes on saturday night and present them a cheque for £400.00.

Hi Nick, welcome to the club. Weymouth is in what used to be Area 2 but sadly that area is now defunct. Your nearest area is indeed Area 3 and we hold our meetings in Taunton or Bridgwater. You will be made most welcome if you can make it to any of our meetings. The dates and places will be in your monthly magazine. Have a good holiday and hopefully see you soon. Cheers Frank
